Just a short drive from here is the Dalton-based Hamilton Medical Center (HMC), flagship of Hamilton Health Care System (HHCS). HMC is a nonprofit, 255-bed, regional acute care hospital offering major medical, surgical, and diagnostic services, including a cancer institute, cardiovascular institute, wellness center, and accredited stroke and chest pain center. HHCS also includes affiliated physician practices, walk-in care centers, retirement and skilled nursing centers, a diagnostic center, an institute for children with developmental delays, and more. In 2021, Hamilton Medical Center was recognized in the Top 10% in the nation for sepsis care, orthopedic care, and interventional coronary care.

Hamilton Physician Group – Murray Campus includes Convenient Care, primary care, a family medicine clinic, and specialty services such as vascular care. Convenient Care provides personalized, non-emergency medical care to adults and children (age 2+) with no appointment needed and with extended hours to fit your schedule. Typical services include treatment for mild illnesses, minor injuries, chronic illnesses, and preventive care.

For life’s medical emergencies, AdventHealth Murray provides high-quality ER-care and compassionate support in its 42-bed acute care hospital. The AdventHealth Murray Emergency Care Unit has received local, state, and national recognition as an exceptional emergency care provider and offers ambulance service. The Emergency Care Unit is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. (In the case of an emergency, call 911.)

The hospital provides imaging, labs, orthopedics, primary care, respiratory care, and surgery care. AdventHealth Murray is one of 330 hospitals nationwide to receive a 5-star rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2022. This is the highest possible achievement of CMS’ Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings.

The Murray County Health Clinic, within the North Georgia Health District, is part of the Georgia Department of Public Health. Its mission is to promote and protect public health in the North Georgia Health District wherever people live, work, and play, through preventive programs including prevention of epidemics and the spread of disease; protection against environmental hazards; injury prevention; promotion and encouragement of healthy behaviors; responding to disasters and assisting communities to recover; and assisting communities in assessing the quality and accessibility of health services.

Operated by the nonprofit Georgia Mountains Health, a full-time medical and dental team provides care for people in North Georgia, including at their location in Chatsworth. All services are provided on a sliding scale based on family income.

Hospice offers compassionate care facilitated among patients, families, and physicians, offering dignity and hope during life-limiting illnesses. Home healthcare assists people returning home from hospitalization or who have multiple diagnoses, people who need additional support to regain and maintain a positive quality of life.
